Get together on Sunday, August 2nd, 2015
Starting time: 6:00 PM

On Sunday evening the welcome reception will take place in the OHG (Offizierheimgesellschaft) of the Helmut-Schmidt-University in Hamburg.

The OHG is founded by German officer corps with the legal status of a registered association. In the OHG, the comradeship is strengthened with the help of various social and cultural events. Traditionally it serves as a dining and common room.

The business, often connected with gastronomy, helps to feel at home if duty forces to stay in the caserne.

After entering the OHG you will find the wardrobe and in the following room the bar. Furthermore you can discover among others a fireplace room, a poolroom and a salon.

With red double-decker buses, rich in tradition, we will go sightseeing Hamburg within approximately 90 minutes - without hopping off. These buses characterize the cityscape since more than 20 years. That is why the buses were renewed to a current technical and environmentally sustainable standard.

The route leads with 28 bus stops across the City Hall.

Route Line A

The pulsating HafenCity and harbor, Hamburg’s landmark the “Michel” (St. Michaelis Church), the traditional Speicherstadt (city of warehouses), the wild Reeperbahn, the Alster lakes and many other hotspots.

The tour is followed by a dinner in the brewery Blockbräu at the Landungsbrücken (landing stages).

Brewing has a long tradition in Hamburg and its good beer was already famous in the Middle Ages. So Hamburg was called “Hanse’s Brewery” in the 12th century. With more than 500 breweries beer was the symbol of Hamburg.
