IS-MOO-CIVIL: Metaheuristic Algorithms in Multi-Objective Optimization of Civil Engineering Problems

Organizers: Tom Schanz, Gebrail Bekdas, Sinan Melih Nigdeli

Metaheuristic algorithms, which are inspired by the observation in nature, are effective approaches in engineering. The most of the studies developed by employing metaheuristic methods, are related with optimization of engineering designs. Optimization is needed for the best gain of the projects. Because of the practicality of metaheuristic methods, all applications of engineering can be optimized.
The aim of this special session is to bring together all leading academicians working on multi objective optimization of civil engineering problems using metaheuristic algorithms. The special session is a scientific meeting in order to discuss new original approaches and original applications of optimization methods for different branches of civil engineering. Thus, this session will be a valuable source of information exchange between several disciplines related with mechanics.
