Dear members of the International Society on Multiple Criteria Decision Making
In July 2026, we will be invited to renew the Executive Committee of our Society. In particular, the following colleagues—whom we thank for their dedicated service over the past four years—will be stepping down:
- Salvatore Greco, University of Catania, Italy
- Kathrin Klamroth, Bergische Universität Wuppertal, Germany
- Murat Köksalan, University of Michigan, USA
- Danielle Morais, University of Pernambuco, Brazil
- Ralph E. Steuer, University of Georgia, USA.
The Voting Committee, composed of Carlos Coello Coello, Francisco Ruiz, Andrea Raith, and Serpil Sayın, has proposed seven candidates, whose short biographies and photos are included here.
In addition to these candidates, further nominations may be submitted by members of the Society in accordance with the Society’s bylaws (see Section 1 of Article IV https://www.mcdmsociety.org/2025/01/24/bylaws-2/):
“Additional candidates may be nominated by the members of the Society not later than the Business Meeting.”
As the next Business Meeting will be held in Wuppertal during the MCDM Conference, nominations for additional candidates to the Executive Committee vacancies must be accompanied by a supporting letter signed by at least four MCDM members. The letter, together with an email from the nominee confirming acceptance of the candidacy, must be sent no later than May 24, 2026, to president@mcdmsociety.org, ssayn@ku.edu.tr, and secretary@mcdmsociety.org.
Elections for the vacancies will take place in July and are open only to members of the MCDM Society. Further information on the voting process will be provided in due course.
